Britec on the Ruination of Windows

I'm not a fan of Microsoft Windows. I'm not a fan of Microsoft. I certainly acknowledge that the company did a lot to help bring computers into the mainstream, years ago, but that goodwill has worn itself out over the last 30-40 years. The security and privacy issues are actually my biggest problem. I know, Apple and Google are also privacy nightmares, but at least they don't have the security issues that Microsoft has.

There are a lot of people jumping on the Hate Windows bandwagon lately, mostly due to Copilot, the Windows AI. That goes back to privacy, and the attitude Microsoft has about your privacy. To me, it seems as if they feel you don't or shouldn't have any privacy, insofar as Microsoft is concerned. Brian at Britec has thoughts on what Microsoft has done to ruin what he considers a formerly great operating system.

This may seem to have nothing to do with streaming, and that's a fair point. But, everyone, streamers and otherwise, should consider protecting their privacy and keeping their systems secure. My Streaming Life is built around that philosophy, and I'm always looking to improve my system privacy and security. It's important to me. It's important to everyone, whether they realize it or not.
