If you're new to cord cutting or thinking about making the switch, you'll need to decide on which streaming services to use. But since you don't have a lot of experience with this, how do you know if you're making the right choice?
There are two answers to this, and they both apply:
- You won't know if you made the right decision.
- It doesn't really matter.
Wait, it doesn't matter? Of course it does! Except, it doesn't. Not as long as you've subscribed on a month-to-month basis.
With streaming, if you don't get it right the first time, so what? You can still watch TV, so it's not like you wasted your money. If you pick a live TV streaming service that isn't what you wanted, you can simply change it. The subscription is only for 30 days at a time. If during that month you decide the service isn't for you, just cancel before the renewal date and subscribe to a different one.
Streaming isn't like watching cable. There are no long-term contracts to worry about. It's easy to switch, and you have several services to choose from. You might even find that one service has a channel you really need for a specific sporting event, while another is better for a particular network or genre of shows.
Oh, and I'll throw out my usual reminder: Do you really need a live streaming service at all? Can you find what you want on a free ad-supported service? These are a great way to save money, and there are more options than ever.
Don't feel pressured to get it right the first time. If you find you don't like the service, it's easy to change. Having a Streaming Life gives you options you never had before. My Streaming Life has always been about making smart choices, and this is one of them. I enjoy mine, and you should enjoy yours, as well.
